There are two things your other G.P.S
                     Manual did not tell you!

1. How to find a G.P.S coordinate for anything on paper map.

2. How to use your G.P.S to locate your position on a paper map

Most G.P.S users are used to finding their way back to somewhere that they have already been.
To go somewhere they have never been before they are limited only to electronic maps.
The problem with this is:

1. Not all maps contain the same detail. They may actually want the detail that is on the paper map.

2. You can only see a small section of an electronic map on the screen in the hand held G.P.S
receiver. It is much easier to work with a map when you see all of the detail at a glance such as you can on
a paper map.

Current G.P.S manuals simply do not teach you how to utilize your paper map with your G.P.S!

Suppose you were in the area of the map above, but were not exactly sure where your current position was.
Suppose you then took a reading from your receiver and it said your current position was 42º 28’ 25” North
and 123º 18’ 14” West. This information is not enough for you to pinpoint your location on the map. So how do
you use your G.P.S to pinpoint your current location on a paper map? Most people will not be able to answer
this question and I know of no other G.P.S manual that will answer this question. However this G.P.S manual
will answer this question and teach you step by step on how to do it!

Suppose you were looking at the paper map above and wanted to go to Dollar Mountain, but you had never
been there before. How would you know what coordinate to enter into your G.P.S receiver to travel to Dollar
Mountain? Again most people will not be able to answer this question and I know of no other G.P.S manual
out there that will answer this question either. However this G.P.S manual will answer this question and teach
you step by step on how to do it!

Suppose you were out hunting and your partner called you on his 2 way radio and he needs some help. He
then gives you a G.P.S coordinate of where he is at. You could enter that into your G.P.S and start traveling
cross country to travel directly toward him, but that might not be the best route. How would you take that
coordinate and locate him on your paper map so that you could plan a better route? This G.P.S manual will
tell you how!

Suppose you are using your hand held compass, but are not sure of what the actual declination is for the
area that you are in. This manual will teach you how to use your G.P.S to find the actual magnetic
declination for that area.

1. Using your G.P.S you will be able to pinpoint your current location on a paper map. (Page 51)

2. Using your G.P.S you will be able to locate a coordinate of another person. (Page 81)

3. You can take a compass bearing from your map to travel to your next destination. (Page 82)

4. You can figure out what the G.P.S coordinate is for anything on your paper map. (Page 20)

5. You can use your G.P.S to discover the declination of the area that you are in. (Page 40)
